Our tree nursery is expanding every year. Since fruit production from our own orchard has
increased, we are going to focus the direction of Shallow Creek Nurseries to mainly processing a tasty variety of
fruit preserves. This line of preserves is made from our brand new government inspected kitchen, and
will be available at farmer markets and onlline orders. We have been and will continue to ship to the US and Europe. We
are thrilled by the number of purchasers who want home grown and hand made preserves and will continue to satisfy
their tastebuds.
In our orchard you'll find Saskatoons, Raspberries, Strawberries, Gooseberries, Jostaberries, Chokecherries, Grapes,
Kiwis, Apples, Plums, Sour Cherries, Apricots, Nankings, Chums, Currants, Pincherries, Cranberries and of the course
the "NEW' tasty Honeyberries. We personally test all varieties in our own orchard and garden to ensure fruit quality.
It is fun testing new fruit selections to see if another proven winner can be added to the list of preserves. Although
the hardiness factor of each species is important to us, the fruit must also be tasty and the tree appealing.
For those of you who have supported our nursery and new growers as well, we will still be supplying a good selection
of the russian honeyberry (hascap), all varieties of the sour cherry family including the new cultivars from the
university of Saskatchewan, a wide selection of hardy grapes, and some new cold hardy fruit that we will soon be releasing...stay
tuned.
